Step 1: Please register your personal account on the homepage. Since the transmission of information mainly relies on the email, email is unique and cannot be shared with others, and the ID number is also unique.
Step 2: Please apply for your service item in the "Account & Service" menu. The services of the corresponded inmates that you can apply for need to be examined by each correctional administration, so it needs to be verified and activated. Visiting Appointment Service can be applied for in the “Apply for Visiting Appointment Permit” menu. Family Contact Messaging Service can be applied for in the “Apply for Family Contact Messaging Service Permit” menu.
Step 3: After the service is activated, you can use various functions of the service. You can request a visiting appointment in the "Visiting Appointments" menu, also send and view the family contact messages in the "Family Contact Messaging Service".
Step 4: Wait for the email or SMS. (After completing the appointment visit application, for on-site visits and video visits, please go to the designated place according to the appointed time, and for mobile visits, please at the appointed time click on the SMS link on your mobile device to make an appointed visit. (Note: SMS will be sent at 16:00 the day before the visiting date.)

For the first time to apply for an online appointment, please complete the procedure for approving the appointment permission for "Onsite-Visit", "Video-Visit", or "Mobile-Visit" in the "Account & Service" menu. If you want to visit a different inmate, transfer the inmate to a different correctional administration, or change the status of the inmate, you will need to re-approve the permission.
The procedure for approving the permit is as follows.
Step 1: Select "correctional administration", "Relationship with the Inmate ", fill in the "Inmate's call number", and click "Inquiry" in the "Apply for Visiting Appointment Permit" submenu.
Step 2: Select the service items according to the permissions you need to apply.
Step 3: Upload "Identity Document", "Relationship Document", "Clear Frontal Photo". you do not need to upload a "Clear Frontal Photo" if you do not need the permit for "Mobile-Visit".
Step 4: Click "Confirm" and pay attention to whether the email has received the notification of the verification result of the permission activation.

Step 1: For the first time to apply for Onsite-Visit Appointment, please register and login to this website, and complete the procedure for applying for the "Onsite-Visit Appointment Permit" in the "Apply for Visiting Appointment Permit" menu. (For details, please refer to the "Service Permission Approval Process".)
Step 2: For those who have completed Step 1 or made an appointment for an Onsite-Visit on this website, please go to "Apply for Visiting Appointment Online" and select "Visitation Type", "Visitors", "Other Visitors", and "Appointment Time Slot". The time slot for making an appointment is from seven days before the visiting date to 15:00 on the two days before. If the deadline falls on a national holiday or other rest day, the deadline will be the working day before the holiday or rest day.
Step 3: Confirm the appointment information and then click "Confirm". Pay attention to whether the email has received the notification of the verification result, or check the progress of the verification by going to the "(Lawyer Mobile-Visit) Visiting Appointment Online Application Status" on this website.

Step 1: For the first time to apply for Video-Visit Appointment, please register and login to this website, and complete the procedure of "Apply for Video-Visit Appointment Permit" in the "Apply for Visiting Appointment Permit". (For details, please refer to the "Service Permission Approval Process".)
Step 2: For those who have completed Step 1 or made an appointment for an Video-Visit on this website, please go to "Apply for Visiting Appointment Online" and select "Visitation Type and Nearest correctional administration", "Visitors and Reasons of Visit" (If it is an family member, nearest relatives, lawyers, or attorneys of the inmate, there is no need to fill in the reasons), "Other Visitors", and "Appointment Time Slot". The time slot for making an appointment is the period specified in accordance with Subparagraph 1 of Article 9 of the Regulations on the Use of Communication Equipment in Prisons and Detention Centers. The correctional administration shall accept the application until 15:00 on the deadline of the specified period. If the deadline falls on a national holiday or other rest day, the deadline will be the working day before the holiday or rest day.

Step 1: Go to "(Lawyer Mobile-Visit) Visiting Appointment Online Application Status" and click "Cancel" for the visiting appointment you want to cancel.

  1. This website provides appointments for Onsite-Visit, Video-Visit, and Mobile-Visit. The differences between the three processing methods are as follows:

    1. Onsite-Visit: The visitor makes an appointment through this website, and goes to the correctional administration where the inmate is located to attend to the visitation on the visitation date. For example: the inmate is in Pingtung Prison, and the visitor goes to Pingtung Prison to visit the inmate.

    2. Video-Visit: The visitor makes an appointment through this website, and on the visitation date, he or she goes to a nearby correctional administration of his or her choice to visit the inmate with the equipment of that prisons or detention centers. For example: the inmate is in Pingtung Prison, the visitor goes to the nearby Taipei Detention Center to use the equipment, and the inmate is video-conferenced.

    3. Mobile-Visit: The visitor makes an appointment through this website, and uses his or her own mobile phone, tablet and other devices to visit the inmate on the visitation date. For example: the inmate is in Pingtung Prison, and the visitor is at home or anywhere, using his or her own mobile phone to video call the inmate.

  2. Restrictions on the visitors and Onsite-Visit frequency against inmates:

    1. The level 4 inmates shall be allowed to receive visitations once a week in principle (any day).
      The level 3 inmates shall be allowed to receive visitations once or twice a week.
      The level 2 inmates shall be allowed to receive visitations once every three days.
      There is no limitation to the visitation frequency with the level 1 inmates, but it must not affect management and discipline of correctional administration;
      As for the inmates who do not apply progressive treatment, the principle is to receive visitations once a week.
      As for the visitors, level 4 inmates shall be allowed to receive visitations of their relatives. Inmates of level 3 or higher shall be allowed to receive visitations of non-relatives providing such visitations shall not obstruct the edification and education of the inmates.
      As for inmates who do not apply progressive treatment, the correctional administration does not restrict or prohibit the visitors, unless otherwise stipulated by laws and regulations or refused by the inmates at their own will.

    2. Defendants (except those who are prohibited from receiving visitations) and civil arrestees shall be allowed to receive visitations once a day; there is no restriction to the visitors in principle.

    3. Delinquents under observation or rehabilitation shall be allowed to receive visitations once a week (any day); except for special reasons approved by the officials of the drug abstention and rehabilitation center, the visitors are restricted to his/her spouse and lineal relatives only. However, the drug abstention and rehabilitation center may restrict or prohibit such privilege if visitations impede the implementation of the rehabilitation measures or have adverse effects to the benefits of the delinquent.

    4. Illicit drug abusers under treatment may be allowed to receive visitations of their family members or nearest relatives once a week (any day). During the psychological counseling period, an illicit drug abuser under treatment may receive visitations of relatives and non-relatives where such visitations shall be beneficial to the enforcement of the drug abuse treatment; such visitations shall be authorized upon the approval of the drug abuser treatment center director.

    5. With juveniles who are under reformatory education may be allowed to receive visitations of their family and friends twice a week (any two days). However, if deemed harmful to the enforcement of correctional education or student learning, the visitors may be prohibited or restrained.

    6. As for the juvenile inmates, there is no limitation to the visitation frequency of their family and friends, but it must not affect management and discipline of correctional administration. However, those who hinder the investigation of the case and the interests of the juvenile inmates in custody may not be allowed to visit.

  3. The legal reasons and frequency limitations for Video-Visits and Mobile-Visits with inmates::

    1. legal reasons:

      1. The individual requesting a visitation is a family member or nearest relative.

      2. The individual requesting a visitation is a lawyer or an attorney.

      3. Due to any of the following circumstances, it is inconvenient for any individual other than those specified in the preceding two items to visit an inmate in the correctional administration, but they are in urgent need to contact the inmate:

        1. The individual is aged 65 or older or under the age of 12.

        2. The individual may be or is infected with a disease defined in the Communicable Disease Control Act.

        3. The individual suffers from a major illness or injury defined in the Regulations Governing the Exemption of the National Health Insurance Beneficiaries from the Co-Payment.

        4. The individual has physical or mental disabilities.

        5. The individual or the property thereof suffers damage caused by the disasters defined in the Disaster Prevention and Protection Act.

        6. The individual requests a visit because any of the inmate’s family member or nearest relative is deceased or in a life-threatening situation.

        7. The individual is one of the diplomatic and consular personnel from the inmate’s country or region or one of the personnel that may represent the inmate’s country or region.

    2. The limitation on the frequency of received visitation by inmate using communication equipment:

      1. The inmates received visitations by Telephone, Onsite-Visit, and Mobile-Visit, are all claimed as Conducting Visits via Communication Devices.

      2. An inmate may conduct visits via communication devices twice per month. (Visitation is requested for one of the following reasons: any family member or nearest relative of the inmate is deceased or in a life-threatening situation; visitation by the diplomatic and consular officers; visitation by a lawyer or an attorney; the damage of the individual or the property thereof caused by a disaster, not counted.)

  4. Other matters related to conducting visits shall still be handled in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations on visitations. If you have any questions, you can directly contact the correctional administration where the inmate is located for consultation.。
